Some Mosman athletes with aspirations of competing for Australia went out to the Nepean River for the latest NSWIS timetrial. There were plenty of good performances, including Tom Wear winning the Junior B (U17) 3km timetrial.
Details of the times, updated and correct when compared to the ones posted on the NSW rowing website, for all those who went quicker then the 77.5% qualifying prognostic are as follows....

Mosman Masters dominate NSW Championships
A fantastic club effort over the weekend saw the Mosman colours on the podium for a haul of 16 Gold Medals (State Titles), 10 Silver and 9 Bronze.
The results highlighted both the great club spirit across all the grades, and the wily management of Phillip Titterton and James Taylor.
Results of note included both the mens and womens D grade quad sculls, who beat quality fields including State Representative teams, and Sarah Hill and Tiffany Hutcheson each claiming the singles title ...

Juniors finish the season at the Edward Trickett Regatta
The Edward Trickett Championship Regatta on April 5th marked the end of the competitive season for the Mosman juniors. All members of the squad competed fabulously with results shown below:
Naomi Schuf rowed very strongly to take 1st place in the WD 1x Championship.
In the WC 2x Mosman scooped the first four placings with Martina Theirmann & Alice Connaghan taking first place, followed closely by Naomi Schuf & Kate Vanderheide in second, Anna Traill & Lucy Burgess in third and Sarah ...

Mosman U16’s win NSW State Title
Mosman Rowing Club was well represented by both elite and our very own junior competitors.
It was fabulous to see the up and coming rowers preparing for their events side by side with the clubs older and very experienced rowers.
The Championships stretched over Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th February and it’s unimaginable how many blisters, sweat and tears went into the action packed weekend of rowing.

Regatta Reports
There are now less than 2 weeks to go until the State Rowing Championships- and on our results in the past few weeks, Mosman is going to have a great regatta out at SIRC on the 16th & 17th February!
Taree
Firstly, our weekend away at Taree, where we had competitors aged from 12 to 66. Every Mosman rower recorded at least a top 3 placing- and for most it was multiple gold medals. Or multiple whiskey glasses on the Sunday!

North Shore Regatta and AGM
It was another great day out for Mosman Rowing Club yesterday! A cooler day than our last mass migration to SIRC, with light, misty rain and beautiful rowing conditions!
We were again out in force, with 90 seats entered in every class of boats from singles to eights, and rowers aged from 14 to 65!

Spring Regatta 07
Hi all,
On Saturday Mosman Rowing Club made its first major attendance at a regatta for the season - the Spring Regatta at SIRC. And what an attendance it was! Two trailers, two VW vans and Dolly's orange van were required to transport all the boats, which included 22 singles!!
It was our first new -style "Grade Regatta", and red and white zooties were everywhere- our elites, our juniors and our masters competing in every grade.

Hunter Minimarathon
Below are some pictures of the Hunter minimarathon this year. The normal marathon was cancelled due to impact of flooding on entries. However a small diehard group parttok in a minimarathon hosted by the Endeavor club.
The crew borrowed an Eight from UNBC - happened to be the "Spirit" from mosman. The outing was v cold and windy. Course altered to go to Morpeth. Did 4kph faster with wind and river than against - a wild ride.

NSW Masters State Champs
Last weekend a group of 7 ladies and 8 men from MOSMAN ROWING CLUB contested the NSW State Masters Rowing Championships in Taree.
The results were fantastic with the Mosman Club winning an astounding 11 Titles between them.
The Club managed a clean sweep of the over 55 age group winning the Pair, Double, Coxless Four, Quad Scull as well as the prestigious Eight Oared event against some very good interstate crews.
In two weeks time the Club will contest the Australian Masters ...

MOSMAN DIGS IT OARS IN AT THE MANNING RIVER AND PORT MACQUARIE ROWING CLUB REGTTAS.
On the weekend of the 13th and 14th January, a group of the Mosman Masters travelled to Taree for the combined regattas staged by the Manning River and the Port Macquarie Rowing Clubs.

NSW Spring Regatta 2006 Results
Well, reasonable turn out for MRC rowers at the Spring Regatta, great kick-off to the season, first time seeing Masters, Juniors and Seniors at the same regatta at the same time for a while.
Good efforts in the Universal Sculling with several win's and great results. Crew win's include: Men's Open Double Scull (
Greg McLaughlin, Luke Freeman), Men's Super Eight Group 3 (Mayoh, May, Hardy, Farrell, Struik, Drury, Braslin, Titterton), Men's Masters Coxless Four (Struik, Drury, Hardy, Farrell).

Back to the good old days: Head of Middle Harbour
The Mosman Rowing Club (MRC) commenced the 2006/07 rowing season by hosting, along with the New South Wales Rowing Association, the Head of the Middle Harbour Regatta with 114 participants in rowing or paddling in Eights, Quadruple Sculls, Fours, Surf Boats and Surf Skis on a beautiful Saturday morning at Pearl Bay. A fitting way to start spring and kick off the Mosman Festival....
Mosman Marathon

Last weekend held the great Mosman Marathon, Head of Middle Harbour (5km).

Well done guys, two wins and a few good performances.
Here's a few photos of the parents and competitors. Good win in Novice Quad (blue) and single (Gus Macgregor). Likewise a very good effort in a scratch crew in the red quad.
Thanks to those parents who helped with the loading and unlaoding of the boats, without it there would have been no boats at the Regatta.
