- NSWIS TT Sept 2008
- Some Mosman athletes with aspirations of competing for Australia went out to the Nepean River for the latest NSWIS timetrial. There were plenty of good performances, including Tom Wear winning the Junior B (U17) 3km timetrial.
Details of the times, updated and correct when compared to the ones posted on the NSW rowing website, for all those who went quicker then the 77.5% qualifying prognostic are as follows....
- Mosman Time Trial Result - 24 September 2008
- A day of slower results, with most people 20 seconds of their seasons best except for Sarah Hill, James Franki, Steve Brown and Scott Waller who all recorded PB's for the year. The 2- of Phil Titteron and John Hardie also set a new record for their Masters category. John Myburgh will be looking threatening next week now he has a new, substantially lighter, boat.
But the rower of the day was Julia Veness-Collins, who completed the course as the clubs ...

- Mosman Time Trial Result - 10 September 2008
- The season's record book underwent a savage rewriting today, as the fleet used the beautiful weather to carve up to 30 seconds off of personal best times. Adam de Koning 'fresh' from some Mad Monday celebrations following his NSW U20 expedition set the tone; taking 30 seconds off the Open 1x benchmark, his time was also the highest prognostic for a non-masters crew for the winter. Not to be outdone Alicia Boehm slashed 20 seconds of the Womens 1x record, ...
- Olivia Heath and Adam de Koning medal at Youth Cup
- After journeying up over the stateline to the windy Sunshine Coast, Mosman Rowing Clubs members on the NSW Youth Cup Team; Olivia Heath, Adam de Koning and coach Simon Hoadley, competed well to bring home a swag of medals.
Ollie and Adam definitely did their bit for the NSW team. Of the official pointscoring races, all but one of the NSW medal winning boats had a Mosman Rowing Club athlete on board. Olivia grabbed a brace of Bronze medals, racing in ...

- Mosman Time Trial Result - 27 August 2008
- A record turnout this morning, and some pretty exciting racing as the first three teams across the finish line within a length of each other. Also personal best times for Jones matos da Silva, Mark Connaghan, Michael Trail, the 2- of Charlie Marriott and Mike O'Neill, and the Masters womens quad! They must have been saving themsleves during the 3km this week.
A fantastic effort this morning by all, but due to increasing numbers we will have to introduce some traffic guidelines. ...
- Mosman Time Trial Result - 20 August 2008
- With the extra daylight in the mornings today was the first day that we tryed to fit in an extra time trial. Having NSW Maritime down to check on lights, and the large numbers of people trying to use the pontoon, made the morning a bit more hectic. For now the first 3km TT will start at 5:50 from the green pole around towards Northbridge, and the normal 5km TT will start at 6:20am. As some found out we will ...
- Our Olympians made us proud
- The team of Mosman athletes did a great job on the biggest sporting stage there is, and while unfortunately there was no silverware, although a world record is probably worth a mention, all the team represented both Mosman and Australia well.
Super Coach Nick, Zoe and Amy from the Aussie women's Quad, Dan from the men's quad and Tom from the men's eight and Pete in the single, are deserving of the great respect those at the Mosman Rowing Club have ...
- Mosman Time Trial Result - 13 August 2008
- A blustery and busy day on the river this morning, but that didn't stop some good times out on the water. Jones achieved his 5th personal best time in a row, Charlie Marriott and Mike O'Neill set a new best time for the 2-, Tom Wear showed his consistency and got close to his personal best again, 3 LTR teams made it to the start AND the finishline, but the highlight was the Masters Quad who created a new TT ...
- Mosman’s Olympians in Action
- Over the last few days there has been some very quick racing in the early rounds of the Beijing Olympic Rowing Championships. As the fields all try to squeeze into the 6 lane finals, this will lead to some fantastic racing over the next few days.
Already going as quick as anyone has gone before is Mosman's own Dan Noonan, who stroked the mens quad to a new World Record in the first heat of the men's quad. ...

YOUTH CUP SELECTION (9, 10 August 2008)
Mosman Junior girls raced last weekend in Penrith (SIRC) at the NSW Youth Cup selection trials.

The best result was for Oli Heath who was the 3rd lightweight and Eliza Flint, finishing 5th in ...
- Mosman Time Trial Results - 6 August 2008
- Another nice morning on the water, with flat, still conditions. Some great results today across the fleet, especially Sarah Hill and the Mike/James Jun 2x, both within 1 sec of the season's record for their boatclass. The recent Learn To Row Graduates debuted in a very respectable time for their level of experience. And Mark Connaghan, the Noel/James 2x, Jones Matos da Silva, Michael Trail and Steve Gordon all taking huge chunks off of their personal best times. I have ...
- Olivia Heath back from World Juniors
- Another of Mosman's shining young stars has just returned from Austria. Olivia Heath was competing for Australia in the Junior World Championships. She stroked the coxless four which came fifth in the A final against very formidable competition. It was a great result for her first try at international competition. Well done Olivia!...
- Mosman Time Trial - 30 July 2008
- Some of the effects of preseason training is obviously kicking in, with 3 teams, Tom Wear, Adam de Koning, and the Masters Womens Quad, all recording their fastest times of the season. Another reminder that in 2 weeks we will add a 3km time trial into this session. The 3km time trial will start at the green pole at 6am, and there will be enough time to get to the start of the 5km time trial....
- Mosman Time Trial - 23 July 2008
- A cold morning on the harbour, but that didn't dampen the spirits of Jay Ditmarsh and Jones Matos de Silva, who both did personal best times in the single. They both improved their times by roughly a minute. Great work!

- A beautiful morning out on the Middle Harbour, with perfect conditions on the full tide. As a general note, in a few weeks we will look to start the time trial a bit earlier, now that the sun is starting to rise earlier. This will enable the 5km time trial to be followed by a 3km time trial for those who are keen.

- Rating capped at 22 today. Cold and breezy conditions for those who braved it. The prognostics for Masters have recently been adjusted, but the women's E quad just went faster, setting the fastest prognostic of the winter so far. Not to be outdone, Adam set the winters fastest prognostic for the non-masters grades. I have also included tide and wind conditions for the first time.

- Henley Cocktail Night
- As you may already know Cadeyrn and I are going to represent Macquarie University at the Henley Royal Regatta from 2-6th July this year. This crew will actually be the first Australian crew ever to race the Prince Albert Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta as well as the first Macquarie rowing team to tour internationally.
In mid-2006 the Macquarie rowing shed was burned to the ground by arsonists (Cadeyrn and I are having a much ...
- Mosman Masters dominate NSW Championships
- A fantastic club effort over the weekend saw the Mosman colours on the podium for a haul of 16 Gold Medals (State Titles), 10 Silver and 9 Bronze.
The results highlighted both the great club spirit across all the grades, and the wily management of Phillip Titterton and James Taylor.
Results of note included both the mens and womens D grade quad sculls, who beat quality fields including State Representative teams, and Sarah Hill and Tiffany Hutcheson each claiming the singles title ...
- Colonial First Eight win Les Taylor Challenge Cup for 2008
- On a stunning day, on a flat stretch of water, a gun team representing Colonial First State captured the Commonwealth Bank Les Taylor Challenge Cup.
An action packed re-race, saw the Colonial First Eight set a new course record as they powered clear of another potential collision with the second place getters from Retail Banking Services(RBS 2) to win by a margin of five seconds. Last years champions from CommSec rowed very well to gain third place, in what ...
- Olympic Selection 2008
- Hot off the press -- more fantastic news!

- Juniors finish the season at the Edward Trickett Regatta
- The Edward Trickett Championship Regatta on April 5th marked the end of the competitive season for the Mosman juniors. All members of the squad competed fabulously with results shown below:

- Selection Trial ‘08 Update
- This afternoon Dan Noonan and Peter Hardcastle were selected into the Australian Olympic team for the Beijing Olympics.
Dan was chosen to stroke the quad after a fantastic season coming back from injury last year. Dan won the national senior sculling title and the Interstate single, and Peter will race the single scull - achieving his dream after qualifying the boat for the Olympics last August in the Munich World Championships after a late call-up to replace Dan Noonan.
Unquestionably, the ...

- Mosman U16’s win NSW State Title
-
Mosman Rowing Club was well represented by both elite and our very own junior competitors.
It was fabulous to see the up and coming rowers preparing for their events side by side with the clubs older and very experienced rowers.
The Championships stretched over Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th February and it’s unimaginable how many blisters, sweat and tears went into the action packed weekend of rowing.
Our juniors, coached by Tony and Linda competed in the U16 men and women's single sculls, ...
