I know we need the rain, but this morning's downpour is not without a downside, as I now have in my possession my 13th ruined NK Stopwatch. AGM and Pre-Christmas BBQ to be held at MRC Boat shed on Sunday 7th December @ 11am Everyone is welcome to come and join in the festivities as we award the our club trophies to the Athletes. Just a few weeks after Bill Chambers's stirling effort in the Armada Cup in Switzerland, he travelled south to Turin, Italy to compete in the 15th running of the 11km Silver Skiff race. Out of 470 entries, Bill finished 62nd overall, 9th in the Masters category, and in a time of 45.55 beat Nathan Cohen- the stroke of NZ's Beijing double scull and the winner of the Head of the Charles in Boston last month! Today marks a big change in the fortunes of Peter Hardcastle and our squad at Mosman Rowing Club. After representing Mosman and Australia for the past 11 years, Peter is moving on to the next phase of his life, and will be based in the UK for some time. Peter first moved from Sydney to Perth in 1997 to row in an Australian Under 23 Quad Scull that I was coaching out of the WA Institute of Sport in Perth. He ...
