The season’s record book underwent a savage rewriting today, as the fleet used the beautiful weather to carve up to 30 seconds off of personal best times. Adam de Koning ‘fresh’ from some Mad Monday celebrations following his NSW U20 expedition set the tone; taking 30 seconds off the Open 1x benchmark, his time was also the highest prognostic for a non-masters crew for the winter. Not to be outdone Alicia Boehm slashed 20 seconds of the Womens 1x record, Tyler Drayton took 20 off of the Junior mens 1x, Mark Williams came under some immense pressure from Tim Sheridan to hack 28 seconds of the Masters 1x record, and the Masters womens 4x took 22 seconds off their previous best!
A special mention should be made for the Junior girls squad of Alice, Martina and Kate, who with some male assistance from Nick Fogarty, did a very strong time. And if the official umpire had judged their prognostic against a junior womens time, instead of a junior mens time, they would have got 81.3% prognostic.
Mike Trail, Scott Waller, and Jones Matos da Silva all went under 22minutes for the first time. The Novice quad, who had never been under 22minutes, decided to jump that milestone and joined Tim Sheridan and Tyler Drayton in going under 21minutes for the first time.

GO the Womens Quad with a pognostic of 87.2%!!!!….whatever that means…..I hope it’s not catching…..must be getting some wonderful coaching, though………
