Plans for New Boatshed approved!

GREAT NEWS!!

Thanks to the Herculean efforts of our Club President, Bryan Weir, we are now in possession of all the council approvals and lease agreements that we need to commence work on our new boatshed and pontoon!

Our builder will be starting work on June 23 - which means that we need to have a massive clean in preparation.

We are asking as many Club Members as possible to take part in a Working Bee on Saturday June 21, starting at 8.00am.
A large part of the working bee will be to move the graveyard boats and racking to positions away from the new building site area.

On the same day, we will also be having an end of season BBQ - once all the work is completed! This will be a great opportunity to welcome home Nick Garratt and our Olympic rowers,
as they return this week from Europe to start their final preparations for Beijing.

To help John Dollisson allocate workers to various teams, and to ensure that we buy enough sausages to feed everyone (eye fillet steak for the really really good workers!!) , can you please

  • confirm you are coming to the working bee to Anne Taylor
  • let Anne Taylor know how many will be staying for the BBQ
