As you may already know Cadeyrn and I are going to represent Macquarie University at the Henley Royal Regatta from 2-6th July this year. This crew will actually be the first Australian crew ever to race the Prince Albert Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta as well as the first Macquarie rowing team to tour internationally.
In mid-2006 the Macquarie rowing shed was burned to the ground by arsonists (Cadeyrn and I are having a much colder, wetter winter this year whilst boating out of a shipping container) therefore there is very little money in the rowing program (especially for those who do not row for Macquarie as a club).
The crew, also consists of Ben Smith (Glebe/Drummoyne), Andrew Corbet (Macquarie) and Zoe Viatos (PLC Sydney). We are self-funded (probably one of the few crews consisting entirely of public school boys!!) and we are hosting a cocktail “Henley Night” to be held on Friday 6th June from 8-11pm in the Macquarie University Atrium.
It would be fantastic if you could come and enjoy an evening of fine food and drink, entertainment, festivities, networking, prizes, auctions and not to mention fun we get sent off with a blast!

Also, if you know of anyone who could donate prizes / auction items or who is looking to sponsor a sporting team, let me know!
