Olympic Selection 2008

Hot off the press — more fantastic news!

Amy Ives and Zoe Uphill are in the 4X for Beijing.

It has been a long and exhausting selection process, but Amy and Zoe have put in fantastic performances– and now they are to become Olympians!!

They will be joined in the crew by Amber Bradley and Kerry Hore, and will be coached by our Nick Garratt out of the Pearl Bay Shed.

All members of Mosman Rowing Club are extraordinarily proud of the achievements of Amy, Zoe , Tom Laurich, Dan Noonan and Peter Hardcastle- and of course Nick Garratt, our own Head Coach!

Even to get this far all these athletes have participated in really gruelling trialling, some have shifted States to be with their squad, and all of them have put their jobs on hold just to be part of this Olympic dream. We all at Mosman Rowing can feel very proud of these athletes.

We all look forward to helping in whatever way we can to support these wonderful athletes.

The news doesn’t get much better than this! Unless its news of Olympic medals!!

All at Cork Boat Club in Ireland would like to wish Amy and Zoe our heartiest congratulations and the very best of luck in the upcoming 2008 Olympic Games.

It’s a fantastic achievement and we will be keeping an eye on their progress throughout the games.

Hopefully Minnie Me (Alfie Young) hasn’t been too annoying.
