Boat Naming & Christmas BBQ 2006

With great weather and 150 attendees at the function, the BBQ kicked off at 10am followed by cakes, muffins and unique red and white cup cakes celebrating both MRC and Christmas. After great social interaction between the rowers, family and social members the boat naming began at 11am. Congratulations to Brynne Allen, Alicia Bohiem, Luke Freeman, Alistair Matthews and Ali Williams (cox) for making the team for the Australian Youth Olympic Festival (olympics.com.au/ayof07). A notable mention should most definately go to Kieran Kobelke who was ranked 3rd in the sculling trials, but missed out during the pair matrix.
